March 2012 Six Week Intensive Prosthetic Makeup Course
The course will take you through the many varied stages of Prosthetic Makeup Design that you would be required to know and practice in the Industry today.
Covering the techniques from script breakdown, designing, sculpting, mould making, fabricating and finishing appliances to Prosthetic application skills.
Each area will be taught by a mixture of demonstration, practical hands on and further assisted practical followed by open Q&A sessions at the end of each day.
Our course differs from the traditonal 'Create a Monster' style that is offered in the industry as we focus on making sure that you are trained in the skills actually needed and used in everday work.
If you can lifecast, apply, sculpt, fabricate, colour prosthetics and there is a portfolio of the process including a 'full face character makeup' at the end, this is more likely to be of use to you.
When people are hired in the industry it tends to be for specific roles - Sculptor, On Set Artist, Lifecaster etc and this is where we help you identify what you are good at and therefore will be more prepared when applying for work.
